ACLEDA Bank: Statement to the public as well as to the Cambodian Alliance of Trade Union (CATU), Center for Alliance of Labor and Human Rights (CENTRAL), and Cambodian Leauge for the Promotion and Defense of Human Rights (LICADHO)
On 02 July 2020, the ACLEDA Bank Plc. issued a statement to the public as well as to the Cambodian Alliance of Trade Union (CATU), Center for Alliance of Labor and Human Rights (CENTRAL), and Cambodian Leauge for the Promotion and Defense of Human Rights (LICADHO) on the joint briefing paper published on 30 June 2020, titled ” Worked to Debt: Over-indebtedness in Cambodia’s garment sector.” In response to this paper, the bank cited it as a non-professional analysis writing without comprehensive information, no clear understanding of banking and finance laws and regulations as well as the internal policies of the bank and its impact on the reputation of ACLEDA Bank Plc. with a tendency to incite and intentionally destroy the reputation of the banking and financial institutions in Cambodia.
